$21 million development will transform vacant lots into affordable housing for seniors and senior veterans
On Thursday, EDEN was thrilled to celebrate the groundbreaking for Emerald Senior. The development will be a 62 unit supportive housing building located in Cleveland's Glvenville neighborhood for seniors who have faced housing insecurity. Twenty-five of the units will be reserved for senior veterans. Wrap-around services designed for seniors will be located onsite.
We are so grateful to our development partners—CHN Housing Partners, Benjamin Rose, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs—and our staff and leadership for their unwavering commitment to the Emerald Senior. Thank you, also, to all of the additional partners and stakeholders who are helping to turn Emerald Senior from vision to reality. These include: Cuyahoga County, City of Cleveland - City Hall, Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA), Hiti, DiFrancesco and Siebold, Inc., Ozanne Construction Company, The Home Depot Foundation, Famicos Foundation, Cleveland Councilperson Kevin Conwell, and Cuyahoga County Councilperson Yvonne Conwell.
Together, we are ensuring that our aging neighbors have a secure, stable, and supportive place to call home.
